Vertriebsleiter (m/w) / Sales Manager

Our Client, a US Headquartered international company within the surgical products sector, has a proud 90 year history of growth and very high retention levels within their sales functions.

Our client is seeking to increase its presence within the German market and is currently seeking to hire a Sales Manager – Germany to help meet National and Regional sales goals with a particular focus on the following locations; Hamburg, Bremen, Hannover, Dusseldorf, Bonn, Cologne, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Erfurt, Nuremberg, Mainz, Stuttgart or Munich.

Position
Reporting to Senior Vice President – International Sales, The Sales Manager will be responsible for administering a business plan for the German market in addition to managing, training and developing an effective regionally based sales force of local dealers and independent reps. Given the regional spread of the sales force the Sales Manager will spend a significant amount of his/her time travelling within Germany (some light travel outside Germany), selling jointly with regional Sales Specialists and attending designated surgical conferences on behalf of the company.


Anforderungen an den Bewerber bzw. erforderliche Qualifikation:
Profile
  • Degree in Business Administration or Management is preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in medical/surgical product sales and marketing, preferably in speciality area of cardiovascular and/or neurosurgical devices
  • An established network of contacts and / or an understanding of how and where best to sell surgical products within the German market
  • An ability to sell (and convince others to sell) “high quality” products and focus the customer on the quality rather than just the price.
  • Excellent English communication skills required.
  • Experience of training sales staff is desirable
